Let’s walk through the 10 most common WeighMaster issues and how to fix them quickly.

1. Scale Not Powering On

Possible Causes:

• Battery is fully drained

• Power button not held long enough

• Charging contact is dirty

Quick Fix:

• Hold the power button for 2–3 seconds

• Charge for at least 2 hours via USB-C

• Clean pogo pin connectors (see Issue #3)

2. Scale Won’t Charge or Shows "Low Battery" After Charging

Likely Cause:

• Contact points between the module and scale body are dirty or misaligned

Fix:

• Detach the module

• Use a soft eraser to clean the pogo pin contacts

• Reconnect and recharge via USB-C

👉 Also ensure you’re using a high-quality USB-C cable and power source.

3. Inaccurate Weight Readings

Symptoms:

• Scale seems “off” by 1–3 grams

• Reading fluctuates while brewing

Fix:

• Use the TARE function before brewing

• Place the scale on a flat, vibration-free surface

• Avoid strong airflows or fans nearby

Bonus Tip: Calibrate using a certified 100g or 500g weight if needed.

4. Auto-Timer Not Starting

Why it happens:

• Your pour or flow rate may not trigger it

• Auto-timer is turned off in settings

Fix:

• Go to module settings → make sure Auto-Start Timer is enabled

• Use a slightly more aggressive pour at the start to trigger it

5. TFT Display Flickering or Unresponsive

Causes:

• Low battery

• Contact issue between base and module

Fix:

• Charge fully

• Remove and reattach the module carefully, aligning magnets properly

• Restart the scale

6. Buttons Not Responding / Touch Delay

Why it happens:

• Wet fingers or debris on touch area

• Software needs a reset

Fix:

• Clean the touch surface

• Dry your hands

• Hold power button 5 seconds to force restart

7. USB-C Port Feels Loose or Not Charging

Fix:

• Try another USB-C cable

• Inspect port for debris or dust

• Contact support if loose port persists

Note: USB-C port is reinforced, but like any device, rough use can cause wear.

8. Screen Module Not Connecting

Causes:

• Misalignment or weak contact

• Magnet not seated properly

Fix:

• Remove module

• Clean both contact areas

• Realign until magnets "click" into place securely

9. LED Strip Not Lighting Up

Fix:

• Ensure you’re using the LED module, not the TFT

• Check that light effects are enabled in the settings

• Restart to reset light function

10. Firmware Outdated or Buggy Behavior

Note:
Not all versions support firmware updates (yet), but newer ones may in future releases.
